After about an hour of using this machine, I could only think, what a wonderfully designed piece of equipment. It's hard to over emphasize how nice it is (and incredibly efficient) to be freed up from dragging or pushing around a normal vac. The wide shoulder straps and nice weight distribution (motor weight is at the bottom) leaves you forgetting it's even on your back. And with the motor at the bottom, the noise is directed downward away from your head, leaving you able to clearly hear little pebbles and dirt making the turn at the top of the hose into the collection area. Unlatching 2 clamps that hold a clear lexan bubble at the top of the unit releases the reusable collection bag to take it outside to dump it. You do not want to dump this bag indoors, as you will look like Pigpen in the Peanuts cartoon. I have noticed absolutely no blow-by dust coming from the unit while it is operating. Another nice feature is the 50 ft power cord, which loops through a heavy duty rubber friction strap that takes all the tension before the electrical connection into the unit. The hard plastic backpack style frame holds the shoulder staps and a velcro fastened waist belt, which has multiple loops incorporated for holding the various plug-in attachments. I've gotten a lot of use out of the brush attachment for dusting, however, this is where I have deducted my single point from an otherwise ideal appliance. The brush has bristles that are too soft and so get pulled into the center by the strong air flow, so after a couple minutes of use, the brush looks like the mouth of an orally constipated lamprey eel, creating a blockage point for the dust that you can hear in the motor's increasing sound level until you manually free it up by pushing the junk on through. I'll be doing a bit of trimming on that brush, but aside from that, this unit represents the first time I've ever used a vacuum with a smile on my face.
